Drum Clinic
GFD Pipes and Drums held a drum clinic in Georgetown this past weekend. There were 7 snare drum students and 1 bass student. Frank Ray was nice enough to come up to Georgetown and teach the band for the entire day.
The clinic focused on the fundamentals and rudiments in the morning, and exercises, study, and practice in the afternoon. Other topics included Swiss drumming notation, Scottish movements and massed band beatings.
The Band is looking forward to holding another clinic in May. We plan to open it up to other interested drummers.
