2nd GFD P&D Drum Clinic
There’s a Scottish drumming workshop for the adult students and their children at the Georgetown FD station #4 located at 4200 Ariport Rd this Saturday, May 19, from 9 to 5. Other students are welcome if accompanied by a parent.
Bring your sticks, written materials, and practice pad. You can do some video taping if you wish, so be thinking about which movements you would like to see played at a slow tempo. It’s better to make short segments if you want to view them as you play along. This allows you to focus on a particular phrase.
We’ll discuss technique, practice methods, rudiments, playing in a band, marching, drum tuning, drum carriers, and being a responsible drummer.
