Georgetown Fire Department Pipes and Drums along with Emergency Service Pipes and Drums performed for the Sun City Solo’s (about 200 people) on Wednesday November the 14th, 2007. We performed the Scotland the Brave set, the 3/4 set and Amazing Grace. It was a lot of fun and it went off with out a hitch! Thanks to Coitt Kessler, Todd Bircher and Steve Cameron for assisting!

Members of the GFD Pipes and Drums marched with the Austin Police Department Pipes and Drums and the Emergency Service Pipes and Drums on 11/10/07 for the Vetrans Day Parade in Austin, Texas. The bands combined to include nine Pipers, two Bass, and three Snare drums. The bands marched from the bridge on Congress Ave. all the way up to the Capital of Texas! It was an exciting event with no flaws! We should have some photos posted soon!

Members of the Georgetown Fire Department Pipes and Drums traveled to Bryan / College Station, Texas on 10/20/07 to perform with the Emergency Service Pipes and Drums at the 10th aniversery for the Urban Search and Rescue teams in Texas. The Bryan firefighters were very nice to let the bands practice and get suited up before the performance at their Central Fire house. Thanks to Lt. Todd Mack, Lt. Mike Petty, FF Adam Temple and the Battalion Chief for their hospitality. The Band performed a flawless performance at the Bush Library. One note of intrest, this was the first combined performance for the two bands. It went very well. Videos can be seen on You Tube.
