Cameron Highland Drumming Clinic

Cameron Clinic

Stephen Cameron
with Cameron Highland Drumming hosted a drumming clinic at his house on on Saturday, Jan 31st. The clinic was open to all interested drummers wanting to get some top notch instruction in a relaxed environment. Stephen opened up his “tool box” on the students and introduced “voicing” adding some needed music to our mid section drummers. We had Irish Stew thanks to Mrs. Cameron and the clinic concluded with some ice cold drinks in the evening. Stephen has such a nice place and it is perfect for hosting these types of clinics. There will be more in the future. Departments attending included College Station FD, Denton FD, Plano FD, ESPADA, Georgetown FD, Cleveland (OH) FD, and I think McKinney FD.

  1. To all you folks who made the trip to the Cameron Back Yard…..I thank you all for your incredible enthusiasm. There’s not a group of students out there like the Emergency Services Honor Guard group. It is and will continue to be my distinct pleasure to instruct the ‘family’ we have created, and expand it to wherever this ends up going. No doubt, we/re going BIG!!

NEWS: Pipe Major Ian MacDonald of the Toronto Police Pipe Band is my co-instructor at the November Georgetown FD Clinic (the day before the big ole Salado games). Your turn to shine guys. Don’t miss Lewisville - it’s the big practice for Salado. The Central Texas History Museum organization is going to treat us all right royally.

    Your friend, and most respectfully
    Stephen Cameron
