The Texas Line of Duty Death Task Force would like to
announce the launching of their official website,
www.texasfallenfirefighter.com or www.texasfallenhero.org. This
website offers a comprehensive collection of information and
resources for fire and EMS departments that are either putting
together protocols and procedures for handling a line of duty death
or injury; or for those departments that are currently experiencing a
death and need quick access guides.
The website offers: the Task Forces official response manual,
funeral planning information, sample procedures and guidelines,
information and articles on grief and trauma, resources for caring
for a department after a death or injury, investigations and
near-miss incidents, education & classes, memorial information, and
much more.
